NUTRITION WITH ATHENA

Plant Based Culinary Classes

SEPTEMBER 28 / OCTOBER 26 / NOVEMBER 30
6:30-7:30PM

Athena is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in culinary nutrition. With her focus on anti-inflammatory and plant based nutrition, Athena supports her clients to meet their wellness goals. Athena also works on the family farm with her husband. They grow a variety of vegetable seeds for food productions, grass seed, and hazelnuts. Athena love being part of the food production process from farm to table.

Class Topics:

Sept 28 Plant Powered Grains: This class will teach you how to incorporate delicious grains into a plant based diet. Learn about how the sugar in grain affects our body, low carb dieting and how gluten affects our health. 

Oct 26 Anti-Inflammatory Fats: In this class you will learn about inflammation and how this affects our health. It will cover how to include more anti-inflammatory fats in your diet and about the types of fat that increase inflammation in our body.

Nov 30 Plant Based Proteins: More than Tofu! Learn how to prepare and enjoy plant based proteins and the health benefits of these foods. We will also learn how meat fits into a plant based diet.

POWER ZONE-SMALL GROUP TRAINING
(Previously known as the 12 Week Challenge)
It’s the new and improved Power Zone.  Join this month to month program and start having fun with fitness and exercise. In this small group training atmosphere you will learn proper body mechanics and how to build strength and muscular endurance with our qualified personal trainers.  Our trainers will you keep you accountable. Discover your inner power and strength and mental toughness!

Starting in September 4

Cost: Members $50/Guests $75 (month to month)
Times: Mondays & Wednesdays 5:30 – 6:15am w/ Audrey
Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30 – 6:15pm w/ Kyle
 

LIFETIME WELLNESS
A small group training class geared towards active older adults who are looking to improve cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, bone density, and activities of daily living. Lifetime Wellness will provide workouts specific to your ability level, basic nutrition tips, as coaching to help you overcome any perceived obstacles.

Starting in September 4

Cost: Members $50/ Guests $75 (month to month)
Time: Mondays & Wednesdays 9 – 9:45am w/ Tarah

Power Vinyasa Yoga w/ Kat
Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30-6:30am in Studio 1

The class is based off the journey in to power sequence where you will flow from one posture to the next. This class will tone, strengthen and rinse your body, clear your mind and leave you with a sense of accomplishment and empowerment. Students of all experience levels are
welcome. Options to modify poses.

Vinyasa Yoga w/ Charlotte
Tuesdays & Thursdays 5-5:50pm in Studio 2

This class synchronizes movement with breath as yoga postures flow from one to the next. The all levels class moves as a flowing practice. Students learn new poses which may include inversions and arm balances along with sun salutes, warrior poses, standing poses, forward bends, meditation and relaxation.

MASH w/ Bobbi Jo
Tuesdays & Thursdays  10:15-11:15am in Studio 1

The feeling of a deep tissue massage with  self-myofascial release! Improve upper body, abdominal, and back strength while you release knots and tight muscles and take a step toward injury prevention. This low impact manipulation will aid in range of motion and circulation.

B.O.L.E. w/ David
Fridays 9-10am in Studio 2
Saturdays 8-9am in Studio 2

 
BeOnLightEnergy – Exude Vitality by using shaking motion to stimulate growth in your Nervous System. There by
gaining increasing Bandwidths of your nervous stem, greater cardio circulation, and pumping action of your Lymphatic system. Feeling great, smiling into strength, flexibility and endurance. Feeling great along the way.
