The Mid-Willamette Family YMCA
The Mid-Willamette Family YMCA is more than just a gym; it's the heart and spirit of our community. Since 1960, Albany's YMCA has enriched peoples' lives in body, mind, and spirit. We've been Albany's "swim instructor" for over 45 years, and our programs, such as smoking cessation classes, youth mentoring, and lifestyle & nutrition classes, have filled a vital social need. From preschool classes to senior socials, the YMCA is a place for people of all ages and abilities.

We're proud to be able to give so much to Albany. And while we're pleased to watch our membership numbers grow-currently up to an all time high of 4,200 members-it deeply underscores the need for a new facility. Our current space is too small to continue serving Albany and the surrounding communities' growing needs.

Albany deserves a larger, stronger, better Y. Community leaders have a vision for a new, full-service Mid-Willamette Family YMCA to strengthen and vitalize our city. The new facility is scheduled to open in the spring of 2008. To make this dream a reality, we must raise $9.8 million.

The City of Albany has been extraordinary in helping the project move forward. They provided land for our new facility in Timber Linn Park for a nominal fee, and in return, the City will use the YMCA's recreational spaces. By coming together, we are able to pool our resources and provide an outstanding community center.

Now we need your help. Please donate today to make a positive difference in the lives and futures of Albany's families, youth, adults, and seniors.
