HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Just show up wearing comfortable clothing & tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle and a sweat towel, if you want! All class equipment is provided. No pre-registration required!
If you would like to have a Fitness Orientation before actually hitting the gym, we have staff that can help you get set up with what classes we offer, what would be appropriate workouts for you based on interests and goals, and show you how to use equipment. GROUP LAND FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
BETTER BONES & BALANCE™: This exercise program is designed to improve muscle strength, balance and age-related bone loss. Enjoy a combo of cardio, weights and balance exercises. Perfect for women, seniors, and beginners.
*BOOTCAMP: Weight training, functional body weight, and TRX exercises in a circuit themed format.
*CYCLING: An indoor group cycling class that caters to participants of all fitness levels. You control your own resistance and speed and use our new state-of-the-art power meter on your spin bike to progress forward from your current fitness level. This easy to follow class gives you a great cardiovascular workout.
CYCLING XPRESS: Rev it up and burn some calories fast in this shorter, 45 minute spin class. Great stress reliever. No previous experience required.
*DANCE FITNESS: A HIIT format fusing Top 40 music with basic dance moves and body weight calisthenics.
*KICK BOXING: Choreographed boxing and kicking combinations set to the beat of music and blended with creative, new aerobic movements. One of the hottest trends in exercise!
MIND, BODY, BALANCE: This class connects the sprint, mind, and body, to help acquire balanced in you life. We will cover walking and gate correction, improving motor skill and flexibility, as well as eating for energy and weight maintenance.
MIXXED FIT: High intensity combo class that fuses hip-hop dance with burning body weight exercises. This class improves your cardiovascular health, muscular endurance, and strength.
MUSCLE PUMP: Using an adjustable barbell, this full-body workout will burn calories, shape and tone your entire body, increase core strength and improve bone health. Our instructors bring encouragement, motivation and great music to get you PUMPED!
MUSCLE TECH:A muscle strengthening class using weights, bands and exercise balls to increase your strength and endurance. This full body workout is customizable to your abilities.
PILATES: A core conditioning and matwork class, focusing on strengthening the lower back and abdominal muscles of the body.
POUND: This class uses a modern day fusion of music and movement. Using RIPSTIX (weighted drumsticks) will drum, lunge, jump, and squat your way to a total body workout.
POWER YOGA: This class incorporated strength postures while focusing on engaging your core strength and building endurance.
SENIOR STRETCH: This 30 minute class brings greater ease, comfort and capability in daily life. If you’ve been feeling tight, stiff, or stressed this class might be just what you need to get started or to keep moving. Easy to follow exercises with a sense of community in every class!
SENIOR CIRCUIT: Held in our weight room, an instructor will lead workouts in our machine circuit. A safe and educational way for seniors to get muscle strengthening exercise.
*STEP: Using portable platforms with height adjustable risers, you’ll do choreographed exercise patterns up, on to, down, and around the step for a great cardio and lower body strengthening workout.
STRONG: A challenging, HIIT workout, with zero dancing involved. Using only your own body weight for resistance, you will gain muscular endurance, tone, and definition, and you will experience an increased afterburn. STRONG is a high impact and intensity, not recommended for those with back pain/or knee pain.
*TRX: Along with our special suspension training straps you will use your own body weight and gravity to work every muscle in your body. You control how much you want to challenge yourself with each and every exercise.
WOMEN’S CIRCUIT TRAINING: Held in the weight room using machines, free weights and cable equipment. Easy to follow routines, with no fancy choreography to learn, are changed often. Workout sessions increase your muscular endurance, strength and flexibility.
YOGA: Improve your balance, strength and agility with flowing yoga poses. This class is designed to help you sculpt muscle and gain flexibility as well as reduce the stress of everyday life. Bring a yoga mat or use one of ours.
ZUMBA: It’s not a workout, it’s a party! Move your body to the dance rhythms of cha cha, salsa, tango, merengue and more! A fun, aerobic workout with a sense of friends and belonging.
ZUMBA GOLD: This is Zumba based cardio with slower and less complicated patterns. Designed for active older adults, or new-comers looking to get started or keep moving with a great fitness program!
*ZUMBA TONING: Zumba Toning is focused on resistance training with lighter weight to put extra emphasis on toning, sculpting and defining muscles. Using light weight equipment and enhancing rhythm and coordination will help tone the target zones such as arms, core and lower body.
