Growing Leaders Early Learning Center
Growing Leaders Early Learning Center is a state-licensed program designed to provide a well-rounded educational experience for children ages 3 to 5.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Age Range: Serving children ages 3 to 5—critical years for early learning and development.
- Curriculum: Utilizing the research-based Creative Curriculum, a project-based approach that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Social-Emotional Learning: Implementing the Second Step curriculum to nurture self-awareness, empathy, and conflict resolution skills.
- Academics: Providing developmentally appropriate phonics and math instruction to build a strong foundation in early literacy and numeracy.
- STEAM Focus: Featuring an outdoor garden classroom with hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
- Play & Physical Activity: A covered playground with a large climbing structure and ride-on toys encourages movement and gross motor development.
- Nutrition: Offering home-cooked breakfasts and lunches, plus a healthy afternoon snack to support growth and well-being.
At Growing Leaders, we prioritize the holistic development of every child by combining academics, social-emotional learning, and physical activity—preparing them for a successful transition to higher levels of education.

Growing Leaders ELC is dedicated to providing a Five-Star early learning program. As we work toward achieving the highest rating in Oregon’s Spark program, we strive to create an environment filled with rich experiences that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth—ensuring children have a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Our staff recognizes that every child develops at their own pace, and that belief shapes every aspect of our program. With a student-centered approach, children take an active role in their learning through developmentally appropriate activities designed to encourage exploration, discovery, and growth in a way that is meaningful to them.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Growing Leaders ELC is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, excluding holidays and planned closures. A full list of closures can be found in the Parent Handbook.
LOCATION & RATES
Growing Leaders Early Learning Center is located at 1054 29th Ave SW in Albany, OR. We believe every child and family should have access to quality early childhood education. For information on current rates and programs, please contact our ELC Director. We accept ERDC and employer-paid benefits and will offer Preschool Promise and scholarships as funds become available and as needs arise.
OUR CURRICULUM
As part of our commitment to providing the highest quality care, Growing Leaders ELC has adopted The Creative Curriculum—a leading, research-based, whole-child approach designed for early childhood educators. Free language assistance, auxiliary aids, and accommodations are available upon request.
REGISTRATION
Before a child begins at Growing Leaders ELC, families will meet with the Director to complete the enrollment process, review policies and procedures, and explore all that our program has to offer. We are committed to fostering positive family involvement in each child’s learning journey.
