YMCA Bridges: Before & After School Program

We are excited to introduce YMCA BRIDGES: Before & After School Care, a high-quality program focused on supporting your child’s growth in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. With a strong foundation in youth development, our program helps children learn, build relationships, and stay active before and after the school day.
Each day at YMCA BRIDGES is thoughtfully structured to balance academics, creativity, and play. Children participate in a variety of activities including reading, journaling, board and card games, weekly STEAM projects, arts and crafts, and active play in the gym, on the playground, and on the field.
To keep the experience fresh and exciting, we offer themed activities throughout the week:
- Movie Monday: Age-appropriate films that encourage imagination and discussion.
- Trivia Tuesday: Team-based games that promote critical thinking and friendly competition.
- Worldwide Wednesday: Exploration of cultures, animals, and technology through hands-on learning and virtual experiences.
- Thursday Bingo: A fun way to build focus, listening skills, and engagement.
- Friday Fun: Rotating games and special activities to celebrate the end of the week.
We also prioritize key components that support both academic success and overall well-being:
- Homework Help: Dedicated time and staff support to keep students on track.
- Physical Playtime: Daily opportunities for movement that promote health, teamwork, and confidence.
- Snack: Nutritious options to keep children energized.

- Oak Grove Elementary (serving Oak Grove)
- North Albany Elementary (serving NAES)
All other GAPS elementaries are served at the YMCA's main campus.
