As you are aware, on 3/23, Governor Kate Brown has put a Stay-At-Home order into effect. This will impact many people statewide and cause financial hardships in our community.
We at the YMCA understand that this is an uncertain time for everyone. We want to make certain we are able to continue serving Albany and the surrounding areas when we get back to our regular daily lives.
WE ASK THAT YOU KEEP YOUR MEMBERSHIP ACTIVE.
Our membership dues are how we pay our 125 YMCA employees that are ready to serve each time you come through our doors. Over 80% of our membership dues each month go directly into salary for staff. This supports their families and our community. Every canceled membership weakens the outreach we are able to do and has a direct impact on our ability to keep our staff employed.
EVERYONE WHO KEEPS THEIR MEMBERSHIP ACTIVE WILL BE CONSIDERED A SUSTAINING MEMBER.
You will receive a tax acknowledgment letter for your donation at the end of the year in the amount of your membership cost throughout our closure. If you would like to support us further by donating above and beyond your membership dues, please contact email@example.com.
We understand that this is not something that can be done by everyone. If you would like to call to put your membership on hold, we will be available at 541-926-4488 from 9 am – 3 pm, Monday through Friday. We are happy to assist and answer any questions you might have.
WE CONTINUE TO SERVE.
Although our regular services are closed, we are continuing to attend to our community in ways that extend past our facility doors.
- Working towards becoming an Emergency Childcare Facility for our community.
- Continuing to make countless wellness check-ins and trips to the grocery store or pharmacy for our most susceptible members of the community.
- Continuing to offer some exercise classes online to help continue a sense of community family, as well as a physical and mental escape from what is going on around us.
- Continuing to partner with local food partners to provide take home meals to those in need.
- Actively searching for more ways to provide assistance where needed.
We want to stand with our community and help in any way we can. If you know of a way we can provide assistance, please contact us at the number above.
We know how unsettling this time is for our community, our state, and our nation. We want you to know that we, your YMCA, are thinking of each and every one of you and are praying that we will see this through together.
